This is what happened at the In Garden festival!

09 of November '22

A few months after the third edition of the In Garden Art and Public Space Festival, exhibition curator Wojciech Januszczyk summarizes this year's edition.

In early August this year, the In Garden Festival was held in Lublin for the third time. This year's edition, "Returns," referred to the forgotten aspects of greenery, its role, as well as the undervalued anthropocentric dimension of man's untamed fourth nature.

The festival was held on the grounds of the historic Pearl Brewery in Lublin from August 05-07. Among the invited guests were Maja Popielarska, Joanna Rayss, Kasper Jakubowski and the publicist of the Architektura&Biznes portal Paweł Mrozek. In addition to meetings and lectures, the main highlight of the program were the show gardens, organized around the theme of "Returns". - combining art and nature in an unconventional way. All festival installations are ephemeral in nature and are dismantled by the organizers after the end of each festival edition.

We would like to remind you of the interview with In Garden Festival organizer Wojciech Januszczyk, which we published on our website - see here.

summary and announcements

The culmination of the entire festival is a video summary, in which Wojciech Januszczyk talks about the events, concerts, meetings and gardens presented at the festival. The ephemeral heritage of the festival is documented in the film, as well as on the festival website.

The organizer has already announced the theme of the next, fourth edition of the festival, to be held next year. It's " Closed Circuits," so relevant in the context of climate change, the disruption of supply chains or the complete disregard of the role of biota in post-industrial reality. Check out the film summary of the festival, as well as post-festival materials.
