award: interiors in Stara Obora
design : Ekodama studio - Magdalena Górska

The use of an existing masonry barn building, highlighting the beauty of old bricks and wooden elements, as well as the use of natural finishing techniques in the form of clay plasters, natural lime paints and staves, won praise from the judges. The interior delights with its variation of textures and natural colors, triggered by the sun's rays, and promises a moment of respite from the rush of the world and the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Winner: network of natural playgrounds in Warsaw
project: Quadratura
How Danuta Baranska justifies the selection:
The winning project naturally brings back to life the original idea and need to play using environmental elements without significant interference with them. What delights in it is the approach of the designers both to the location, where they respect its form and structure, not interfering with it, but fitting the design to it, as well as relating to the neighborhood, respecting the context of the location. The ecological approach, which is so important in the creation of such places, influencing the education and awareness of younger generations in particular, also won our appreciation. Another important aspect is that the idea of a network of these places has been created, both physically and virtually, as present in the space of young generations [...].
honorable mention: Auschwitz Memorial Park
project: NArchitekTURA
The winner of the award stands out in an unusual way from the other submitted projects in this category. The designers' approach to commemorating the Great Synagogue in Auschwitz is moving. Trees have already managed to grow where its walls and roof used to be, but signaling its outline and introducing an irregular arrangement of sandstone slabs makes us bring back its history in our memory, but also make us aware of the painful and turbulent fate of Jews and Poles during not only World War II.
