"Best Interior Diploma 2020/2022".
The subject of the master's thesis is the adaptation of a post-industrial building - Browar Mieszczański at 44 Hubska Street in Wroclaw for new use. The aim of the designed activities is to bring back to life a building of high historical value, to create a vibrant place that will become one of the key commercial, service and entertainment points on the map of Wroclaw, shaping the consumer, cultural and historical awareness of visitors.
The adapted facility, by shaping new jobs and promoting activities, is to become a space supporting local producers, designers and artisans.

The concept is to transform the entire complex, with detailed development of three buildings. Each of them is given a different function, so that the different parts complement each other and form a coherent whole, both functionally and aesthetically. The chosen restoration model is based on restoring the exterior based on historical documentation - the facade, architectural details, window and door woodwork - while transforming the interior of the building to fit its new functional function.

The transformation of the interior is not complete: due to its high historical, and therefore cultural and educational value, it is planned to leave individual elements (including brewery vats, concrete troughs for barrels).

The inspiration for the creation of a multifunctional facility on the Brewery grounds came from observations of retail spaces in Poland and around the world - shopping malls, fairs, food discount stores, market spaces. Spaces were compared by juxtaposing and contrasting them, observing positive and negative features. They also looked at consumer behavior in the aforementioned retail spaces and the development of their awareness of making choices. Adaptations of post-industrial buildings in Poland and abroad also provided inspiration.

The main building of the Brewery is a place designed as a market space, a dining area, a bar and a mini-brewery. The market space is a gathering place for local food producers offering high-quality natural products. On the second floor is a bar specializing in serving kraft beer, as well as drinks and soft drinks.

Another building has been earmarked for a design pavilion - a place for local designers, young, emerging Polish brands and artists wishing to present their work to a wider audience. It's a space providing an opportunity for the consumer to meet the designer and get to know each other.
on the premises of the establishment there are guilds of craftsmen

The building adjacent to the main one has been allocated for craftsmen's guilds, i.e. space for such establishments as a shoemaker's shop, a leatherworker's shop, a jeweler's shop, a tailor's shop and a watchmaker's shop. The placement of craftsmen's workshops right next to the shopping center is linked to the idea of conscious consumption. One of its tenets is to repair things that have broken down during use, lost their splendor. The presence of establishments on the premises of the Bourgeois Brewery is supposed to make it easier to decide on repairs without having to look for a qualified craftsman.

The creation of jobs in an area frequented by a large number of people offers the possibility of greater interest in services, and thus an improvement in the financial situation of those who toil in "forgotten" professions.
