Otto Schier, a respected architect and urban planner, has been awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Tarnow, councilors unanimously decided on November 28 this year.
From an urban planning perspective, Otto Schier's influence on Tarnów is undeniable. For decades, combining engineering precision with a sense of aesthetics, he designed buildings and structures that have permanently blended with the history and shape of our city. Their unconventional character, combined with an innovative approach to design, was made possible not only by the author's practical skills, but above all by his ability to perceive the world through feeling and reason. After all, they - emotion and intellect - are the guarantors of good design.
- said Jakub Kwaśny, president of Tarnów.
