Nearly 350 male and female speakers representing a variety of backgrounds will meet in Krakow to jointly reflect on what divides and unites Europeans. On November 19 and 20 this year, the 9th edition of the Value Economy Congress - Open Eyes Economy Summit - will be held at the ICE Krakow Congress Center and online, under the theme "The Soul of Europe."
The Krakow congress center will feature opinion leaders from the worlds of business, politics, science and culture, including Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski, Marshal of the Senate Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Minister of Finance Paweł Karbownik, Secretary of State Joanna Mucha, lawyer Marcin Matczak, science journalist Tomasz Rożek, filmmaker Małgorzata Szumowska, publicist Tomasz Terlikowski and Sister Małgorzata Chmielewska, president of the Bread of Life Community Homes Foundation.

The congress will be a unique platform to discuss the future of Europe, its values and socio-economic challenges. The Open Eyes Economy Summit 2024 program will feature debates and speeches relating to Europe's geopolitical, economic and social location, including its intellectual and ethical vitality. They will be conducted under three thematic tracks: COMPANY - IDEA (ESG - Sustainable investing - is Europe playing va banque?; How to complete the green transition: ideas vs. interests); CITY - IDEA (Crime on the landscape; Digital transformation of cities); BRAND - CULTURE (Mega-trends - educational environment and competencies for future generations; Ethics and values in public life).
This year, among the more than 100 items on the agenda will be such issues as: ethics of interaction in the face of civilization challenges, environmental education, landscape protection in the Polish legal system, digital solutions in cities for climate improvement and social responsibility, the use of modern technologies vs. scenarios for Poland, Green Deal vs. competitiveness and security of the economy," lists Katarzyna Chuchmacz, program director of OEES.

As part of the CITY - IDEA block, A&B editor-in-chief Malgorzata Tomczak will meet for a skirmish on the fight for city space with Michal Leszczynski of the Polish Association of Real Estate Developers (19.11, S3A, 3:00 pm) and will moderate a session on digital solutions in cities for climate improvement and social responsibility (20.11, S3A, 2:30 pm) with the participation of Lukasz Albrecht (Vice Rector for Science from the Technical University of Lodz), Alicja Bieszynska (One Product Network Quality & DEX Sustainability Team Manager at Allegro), Malgorzata Jarczyk-Zuber (Chief ESG Innovations Officer at ING Bank Slaski) and Bartlomiej Wrzosek (Board Member and Chief Operating Officer at Veolia Energia Warsaw).
