Elegant and cozy
The two-level apartment has an interesting layout. Upon entering, we find ourselves in the living room, while the bedrooms are located one floor below. The investors wanted unusual solutions. The architect's task was to combine the inspiration of world luxury with a cozy, homey atmosphere. To emphasize the elegant character of the interior, Samanta Michalewicz used chic stucco and wooden flooring in the form of French herringbone. In the entrance area, the floor was additionally decorated with a golden border. The cozy atmosphere, meanwhile, is created by a warm color scheme, consisting of beiges and black accessories and gold accents.

Two types of stone
The leitmotif of the living area arrangement is stone. The architect used it in both the kitchen and the living room. In the annex you will find a Brazilian Patagonia pattern. Quartzite surrounds the island and fills the space between the hanging cabinets. Its unique hues and veins interspersed with gold perfectly match the color scheme of the entire interior.

The living room area is dominated by marble. The owners wanted this material to appear in the interior, but they depended on its unusual pattern. So the architect decided to use the Italian Arabescato pattern. This remarkable stone appears on the bio-fireplace' s built-in.

With attention to detail
Stones warm up fabrics. For example, velour can be found both on the sofa upholstery and in the form of curtains. A special updo and custom-designed ruffles give the space a palatial elegance. The arches in the glass balustrade at the staircase, which covers an entire wall, also allude to this aesthetic.

- The cor rugations on the wall by the stairs are a response to the corrugations on the eaves in the kitchen, round lamps, refer to the handles. Even the sockets and switches were specially selected to blend in with the interior. Their additional advantage, in addition to their elegant appearance, is the ability to control a smartphone or tablet. This allows the owners to control blinds and lights remotely during their travels, simulating their presence, says architect Samanta Michalewicz.
