We invite you to participate in a mural competition. Create a project thematically related to the upcoming anniversary of the signing of the Jastrzębsk Agreement and change the face of the block of flats on Slaska Street.
This year marks forty years since the signing of the Jastrzębsk Agreement. The striking miners won free Saturdays, as well as the fulfillment of a number of other demands related to the way work was organized. This event the Jastrzębie-Zdrój City Hall wants to commemorate with a mural. According to President Anna Hetman:
The changes that were initiated in Poland in the 1980s were like an avalanche, which consisted of many individual stones. Some of the most important events of that period took place in Jastrzębie-Zdrój. We are committed to keeping the memory alive both in our city and beyond.
The graphic that will be selected in the competition will be the theme for the 40th anniversary of the Jastrzębie Agreement. A prize of fifteen thousand zlotys is planned for its author.
