This is not another Hollywood production whose characters fall in love with each other while uncovering a conspiracy. The actors here will not run around with terror written on their faces in tight costumes, with perfect haircuts. However, this does not mean that the story will bore you! This is a real thriller, which at times will freeze your blood in your veins and speed up your heartbeat. Luis Barragán's architecture will accompany us in the background.
The next meeting of the PROJECTOR series at home is a mix of thriller and romance with exceptional architecture in the background. After the 1988 death of Pritzker Prize-winning Mexican architect Luis Barragán, his professional archive, including thousands of photographs, drawings and negatives, was sold in its entirety to the Vitra Design Museum, and later given by the company's then-president - as an engagement gift - to his fiancée, architectural historian Federica Zanco. For nearly 20 years, she not only completely prevented reproductions of the architect's work, but also denied researchers access to his legacy, explaining that she herself was busily working on a study of Barragán's work. When Zanco denies access to the archive to artist Jill Magid - director of the documentary - "An Unusual Proposal," the latter decides to explain why the legacy of one of the greatest architects of our time is now in the hands of one person. The film documents attempts to convince Zanco to relinquish absolute control over Barragán's works and return them to the architect's homeland. To this end, Jill Magid decides to make Federica an unusual proposal....
