The interior design of stores, restaurants or cafes is one of the factors that determine the atmosphere and popularity of the premises, and thus can affect the nearby public space, attracting residents and tourists to it. This year, seven commercial interiors were nominated in the competition, including five restaurants, a jewelry store and a florist studio:

The jury paid attention to a very coherent concept of the premises - from the name, to the overall impression, to the smallest detail, and an unusual approach that is an alternative to interiors referring to the folklore of Latin American countries. It was also important to fit the concept of the restaurant's interior into Gdynia's architecture by setting the decor of the establishment in the climate of Mexican modernism.
honorable mention
Due to the high level of the nominated projects, the jury also decided to single out one interior - the Floral Design florist studio designed by Marta Modrzejewska-Ptak. The jury noted the positive impact the studio has on the urban fabric and the appearance of Abrahama Street, the abandonment of advertising in the shop window and the use of bold solutions, such as striking color combinations.

audience award
Voting on the Facebook profile of the Gdynia Design Days festival, Internet users awarded the audience award to MORA bistro designed by Mateusz Koya. The name of the establishment refers to the optical effect of moiré, which was referred to in the interior signboard made of metal elements found at the Shipyard. Metal is also one of the main decorative elements, emphasizing the industrial character of the interior.
