In the fall, Viega is planning another series of regular training sessions for installers, designers, business partners and technical school students. Topics include pipe installation, concealed installation and drainage technology. The classes also cover issues of drinking water hygiene or corrosion protection. It is also possible to adapt the program to the individual needs of the participants.
Workshops are organized in two convenient locations. The Warsaw Training Center operates in the Mokotów Plaza office building at 6 Postępu St. In Gdansk, classes are held in a new facility launched late last year at 68 B Budowlanych St., next to Viega's main office. In both locations, a showroom with a complete display of products, an assembly station and a comfortable room suitable for multimedia presentations have been prepared for participants.

Theory and practice
In each training center one can see live the entire, wide range of Viega products and installation solutions, including Prevista concealed racks, Visign actuating buttons and Advantix Vario and Advantix Cleviva shower drains. Special walls showcase sections of installations made with pressed systems such as Profipress, Megapress, Sanpress Inox and Smartpress. The exposition was designed to show products in conditions that resemble real installation situations as much as possible.
The classes are divided into theoretical and practical parts. During the former, not only specific Viega solutions are discussed, but also cross-cutting topics such as the correct selection of materials in installations, corrosion protection, hygiene of drinking water installations, or the correct installation and sealing of linear drains.
During the practical part of the workshop, workshop participants have at their disposal a separate assembler's stand, at which they themselves make connections in the press technology using crimping machines.

Growing interest in training courses
The trainings are aimed primarily at contractors and installation designers who want to expand their knowledge of the latest system solutions available on the market. However, other groups can also benefit from the workshops, such as interior architects, distributors, or technical school students from sanitary and heating classes.
We are pleased to see a renewed interest in classroom training, which was naturally lower during the pandemic," says Tomasz Pawlak, who leads the workshop in Warsaw. - Although the participants usually have many years of experience in the profession, they often learn things that are new to them at the classes. An example is the possibility of joining thick-walled steel by pressing, which many contractors have not yet heard of.
More and more professionals understand that the rapidly changing technologies in the installation industry force the need for systematic development, so they are eager to take advantage of training offered by manufacturers.

In our profession you have to be up to date, so I try to expand my knowledge and learn about new products available on the market as often as possible, admits Krzysztof Nadzikiewicz, a participant in one of the recent trainings. - I was interested, for example, in Viega's solutions in the field of flush-mounting technology, allowing the installation of many elements without the use of tools.
