When Italian architects Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina designed the Tolomeo lamp for Artemide in 1987, they could not have known what would happen in the world decades later. This is possible thanks to the innovative INTEGRALIS® lighting technology - a product of Artemide's scientific and technological research and the company's humanistic and social vision.

The Tolomeo INTEGRALIS® lamp uses an intelligent combination of light in the visible wavelength range. With the addition of a special colored light component, violet light - invisible to the naked eye - was used. These in precise doses applied light components generate photo-oxidative stress in bacterial cells and prevent the spread of microorganisms or even kill them. In this way, INTEGRALIS® achieves a balance between optimal visual comfort and disinfection.

Of course, Tolomeo INTEGRALIS® offers the same excellent light quality as Tolomeo lamps with conventional LED light sources. With a pleasant color temperature of 3600 K, optimal illumination is produced that more than meets the requirements for light suitable for the workplace.
