inspiration
The concept for the revitalization of the tenement house at 12 Bałuki Street in Szczecin involves transforming part of the building into a complex inspired by the philosophy of mindfulness. The idea was taken from Japanese culture. The Buddhist concept of "jiriki" means the power of self-reliance, the ability to achieve liberation and enlightenment through one's own efforts. The complex includes a variety of carefully designed spaces.

spatial solutions
The lowest floor offers a wellness area, including a yoga studio, locker rooms, restrooms, and massage and acupuncture rooms. The first floor houses a food court, serving Japanese cuisine and world-renowned teas. The preparation and composition of the dishes are intended to reflect a traditional approach to Japanese cuisine, characterized by a strong emphasis on "mindful eating."

materials
The palette of materials used in the project highlights natural raw materials such as wood, stone, microcement, ceramics and organic fabrics. These materials create a subtle and harmonious color palette, enriched by recurring accents in terracotta tones. The design incorporates elements of Japanese aesthetics, while rhythmic elements of interior architecture define the organization of the space.
