The wedding ceremony is a moment full of emotions and special memories - a moment that marks the beginning of a new chapter in the life of the bride and groom. How to combine the formal nature of a state institution with an artistic expression that will emphasize the solemnity of this ceremony? The answer to this question is the project of Julia Wawrzynowicz from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, created under the supervision of Prof. Maciej Świtała, which is a modern concept for the interior of the Registry Office in Bydgoszcz.

artistic space for a new beginning
Modern wedding ceremonies focus on individuality and emotion. Increasingly, young couples want the day to be not only a formal event, but also a beautiful memory - both for them and their invited guests. With this in mind, the design of the interior of the Registry Office in Bydgoszcz was created. The aim of the concept was to create a place that through its form and details will emphasize the solemnity of the moment, becoming its natural complement.
The key aspect of the project is to combine the formality of a state institution with artistic expression. Thanks to the appropriately designed space, the interior of the office is intended not only to fulfill its function, but also to stimulate the emotions and senses of the participants of the ceremony. The unique character of the project is emphasized by the garden installation, which is a symbolic culmination of the ceremony - a place created to celebrate and capture memories in photographs.

The interior of the building was designed to harmonize with the emotions accompanying the wedding. Soft, bright colors dominate, broken by pink accents. Central to the concept are fabrics arranged on the ceiling in the shape of pink flowers, which symbolize the beauty, delicacy and uniqueness of the day. The fabrics flow downward, creating a cohesive, soothing composition with the floor in shades of white. The geometric leitmotif is the circle - a symbol of completeness and harmony - present in both the design elements and the garden installation.
