The project to modernize the interior of the Kobylanka Culture and Recreation Center, developed by Zuzanna Walendziak of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, aims to transform the building, located in a picturesque area in the West Pomeranian province, into a cultural and social center that meets the needs of the local community.

new functions and accessibility for all
Despite the fact that the building was built in 1962, its current condition required extensive modernization. The project involves a complete change in the functional layout of the interiors, adapting them to modern requirements. In line with the growing demand for extracurricular activities, especially among children and young people, the project focuses on creating spaces that respond to these needs. In addition, the building will be adapted to the needs of people with disabilities including those in wheelchairs, which is an important element in the context of social integration.

support for local cultural initiatives
The project also takes into account the needs of local organizations, such as the Rural Housewives' Circle, which will gain a new headquarters in the renovated facility. Moving the Circle's activities to modern interiors will allow it to develop the region's traditions and cultural values. In addition, the project includes an exhibition space that will be used to showcase local artwork and handicraft products.

modern architectural solutions
The modernization project also includes the use of modern design elements, such as green walls and partitions. One of the most interesting details is a green wall with multifunctional panels, designed with artificial vegetation, which allows to maintain plant aesthetics in rooms with limited access to natural light. The panels have been designed to serve both decorative and utilitarian functions - they can provide mirrors for exercise, as well as exhibition space.

Transforming space for the 21st century
Zuzanna Walendziak's design took into account not only functionality, but also interior aesthetics. The multi-purpose hall was planned to accommodate a variety of events, from exercise classes, concerts and performances to official meetings and election rallies. The design also includes social space and a kitchenette, allowing for catering events, such as the sale of products by the Rural Housewives' Circle.
