Attention interior design students! The STO Foundation has opened the call for applications for the 2019/2020 scholarship.
Interior architecture students can apply for a monthly grant of up to €1,000 to support their education in 2020/2021 (the total grant pool is €24,000).
Project proposals should relate to this year's theme "To have or to be. "To have or to be? New spaces of the sharing community". In many visionary approaches to living in the community, sharing replaces the idea of having. Swap exchanges allow people to exchange or borrow, coworking spaces provide peer-to-peer workspaces, and garden cooperatives supply organic vegetables. Referring to this idea, participants should also answer the questions:
- What new public places are created by this?
- What needs must these new places meet?
- To what extent does this change the relationship between public and private space?
- How does it affect our approach to interior architecture?
Theidea should be accompanied by visuals and illustrations made in a technique that best reflects the concepts of the project (model photographs, collages, drawings, sketches, etc.).
