The family-owned brand creates excellent quality wooden furniture, including tables that "grow" according to the user's needs. Skovby 's ordinary-ordinary products can now also be purchased in Poland.
The Skovby brand was created in 1933 by Danish carpenter Thorvald Rasmussen. Its activities focused primarily on improving and implementing table extension systems. Today Skovby, run by the third generation of Rasmussen family, still produces tables (clever ways of extending tops are still the brand's trademark), as well as other furniture, including chairs and dressers. They are distinguished by simple, classic designs with a touch of modernity, functionality and excellent workmanship. The brand makes sure that the highest quality is presented by all components of the furniture: from the wood to the varnish or upholstery foam. All these components are also produced with concern for the environment. Therefore, choosing a piece of Skovby furniture is a good decision for years - it will serve the user for a long time, both thanks to this high quality and universal design, which will allow it to be incorporated into various private, as well as office, hotel or catering arrangements.

Tables, still the most important part of Skovby's production, are ideal home and investment furniture, one could say - family furniture. Thanks to the function of unfolding / enlarging, they are excellent for the dining room or living room, depending on your needs to receive a smaller or larger number of guests (some models - even 20 people!). But not only: many designs appear in conference and banquet halls, offices, hotels, cafes or restaurants. It all depends on the preferences and needs of customers.

Greatly popular is the SM33 table, whose round top enlarges like a blooming flower, thanks to a rotating element hidden underneath, activating three additional plates. The unfolding system of this piece of furniture, unique and, by the way, patented by the Skovby brand, is impressive, and at the same time very convenient - undoubtedly increasing the attractiveness of the SM33.

However, a bunch of supporters also have classic rectangular tables, such as SM 23, 34, 26 and 27. They are enlarged in a rather "typical" way, by extending the top and placing additional plates between its parts. However, this system allows to increase the length of some models to more than 3.5 meters. It is worth mentioning that the tables have different finishes; solid wood (oak or beech) can be soaped, stained or varnished, keeping the natural shade or gaining a new one (e.g. cherry, walnut).

An important place in the family company's offer is occupied by chairs. They, too, surprise with original solutions, such as the system of adjusting the upholstered seat in the 811 model (thanks to four rubber shock absorbers that bend according to the user's body position).
Skovby chairs combine lightness, comfort and durability. The classic design is usually "spiced up" with modern details, such as a sharply cut leg frame contrasting with the soft lines of the upholstered part. The color scheme - as in the case of the tables is universal; earth tones, in the upholstery proposals complemented by faded pink, grayed blues and greens and warm shades of leather, allow the furniture to match any interior. The chair has passed strength, durability and safety tests conducted by the Furniture Laboratory of the Danish Institute of Technology. This means that it meets all the requirements for contract seating for use in commercial buildings. The dining room by Skovby will also include dressers and display cabinets: simple, elegant, capacious. With this brand, it is not difficult to create a solid base for any arrangement!
