We have completed the online voting for the Audience Award - the beststudentwork, made with concrete, submitted to the competition: "Concrete Architecture - A Game of Solids - Home in the Urban Landscape 2024". 27 projects admitted to the final of the competition took part in our poll. The highest number of votes(2416), and thus the first place was awarded to the work of Magdalena Madej.
The competition was organized by the Faculty of Architecture of the Cracow University of Technology and the Association of Cement Producers. The competition was addressed to male and female students of the second year of the 4th semester of the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University. The jury's evaluation criteria concerned the architectural values of the project, based on the aesthetic and structural qualities of concrete. The jury, composed of Prof. Tomasz Kozłowski, Prof. Justyna Kobylarczyk, Zbigniew Pilch, Prof. Anna Mielnik, Prof. Monika Gała-Walczowska, Dr. Marek Początko, Dr. Przemysław Biga, Dr. Grzegorz Twardowski, Piotr Stalony-Dobrzański and Wojciech Ciepucha, awarded three main prizes, and honored the remaining finalists and finalists. In mid-July, Architecture & Business gave a vote to its male and female readers, announcing a contest for the Audience Award. Male and female Internet users could vote for their favorite project until September 1, choosing it from among 27 works admitted to the finals.
Thewinner was Magdalena Madej's work, with the project receiving 2416 votes. The author will receive from us a diploma and a one-year subscription to the monthly magazine "A&B". The second place was won by the work of Klaudia Lapinska, receiving 2058 votes, and the podium is closed by the work of Gabriela Burliga with 1542 votes.
