Ostaniec is a space, combining aspects of rest, self-regeneration and building social relations. The project was inspired by the idea of urban resilience, i.e. the ability of space and its users to adapt in the face of dynamic social, ecological, health and cultural changes.

symbol of resilience
The name of the project refers to a geological form - the ostaniec, which remains a permanent element of the landscape despite the passage of time and erosion processes. Likewise, the Ostrand as an urban space is designed to provide stability and support for residents. Its functioning is based on flexibility and adaptability, providing the community with conditions for survival and development despite dynamic changes.
functions of ostańc
The project was developed as part of the interdisciplinary "New Space" workshop . It takes into account the needs of diverse social groups. On the one hand, it creates a place for respite, regeneration and self-therapy, and on the other, it promotes integration, social activity and identity building. The space includes rooms for meditation, aromatherapy, thermal baths, saunas, a rosarium, creative and workshop spaces, an underground club, and other spaces that promote reflection and development.

response to contemporary crises
The project aims to counter multidimensional crises affecting the quality of life in the city. Social crises are associated with inequalities based on nationality, financial situation, age or disability. The spur creates space, minimizing social tensions and fostering the integration of residents. Ecological crises result from the disappearance of contact with nature, over-consumption of resources and loss of urban greenery. The project promotes sustainable resource management, environmental protection and the restoration of man's relationship with nature. Health crises include an increase in mental illness, chronic physical conditions and a growing need for rehabilitation. Spur offers solutions to support mental and physical health, tailored to the needs of different user groups. Cultural crises relate to the disappearance of a sense of local identity, lack of cultural representation, and difficulties in cultural education and intercultural dialogue. The project, through its spatial and programmatic solutions, fosters the building of a strong community, open to diversity and exchange of experiences.

modern space for the future
Ostaniec is a place, redefining the approach to urban space design. Integrating the functions of rest, regeneration and social activation, it responds to the challenges of modern cities. The project proposes an alternative to standard space development, shaping an environment in which both architecture and community demonstrate adaptability and resilience in the face of future challenges.
