The results of the competition for the best master's theses and design diplomas defended in 2017/2018 and 2018/2019, organized by the National Institute of Architecture and Urbanism, are known. The first prize in the design category was won by Lukasz Dmowski, and in the theoretical category by Tomasz Bodnar. Congratulations!
The purpose of the second edition of the competition was not only to promote the most interesting diplomas, but also to motivate male and female students to take up topics related to common spaces or public buildings.
Awards were given in two categories: design and theoretical.

design category
The jury, consisting of Dr. Boleslaw Stelmach, Dr. Jerzy Grochulski and Magdalena Federowicz-Boule, awarded:
first prize of PLN 12,500 to Łukasz Dmowski for his work entitled. "Estate inscribed in the landscape as an attempt to create a civil and pro-environmental society in Poland", written under the supervision of Dr. hab. Krystyna Solarek at the Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology;
honorable mention in the amount of PLN 7,500 to Anna Barwińska and Joanna Machera for their thesis entitled. "Conceptual design for the revitalization of the Crescenzago district in Milan," written under the direction of Andrzej Duda, Ph.D., at the Faculty of Architecture, Silesian University of Technology.
theoretical category
The jury, chaired by Deputy Director of the National Institute of Architecture and Urbanism Dr. Tomasz Slawinski, and composed of Prof. Marta Lesniakowska and Tomasz Fudala, decided to award:
first prize of PLN 10,000 to Tomasz Bodnar for his work entitled. "The image of the city on the basis of mental maps of elementary school students of Gryfice," written under the supervision of Dr. hab. Paweł Czaplinski at the Faculty of Earth Sciences of the University of Szczecin;
Two parallel awards of PLN 5,000 to Adam Pacholak for his work entitled. "The Electronic Brain of the City. The idea of modern Wroclaw and one example of its realization - ZETO at Ofiar Oświęcimskie Street by Agata and Jerzy Tarnawski", written under the supervision of Dr. hab. Agnieszka Zablocka-Kos at the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences, Institute of Art History, University of Wroclaw.
The second honorable mention went to Konrad Kunc for his thesis entitled. "Architecture of cinemas of postwar Warsaw by Mieczysław Piprek," written under the supervision of Dr. hab. Marcin Lachowski at the Faculty of History, University of Warsaw.
