Heating your new home - a review of eco-friendly solutions from De Dietrich

The decision on how the new house will be heated is one of the first that the investor must make already at the stage of project selection. It is also one of the most important decisions, as it translates directly into the convenience of use and the cost of operating the property. What solutions available on the heating system market are worth looking into when building a new home? What needs to be taken into account when choosing a specific solution?

Choosing a home heating system - where to start?

When choosing the system that will heat a newly built house, the investor should consider his own preferences and expectations from the heating system. He must also take into account the limitations of the plot of land on which the property is being built and the square footage he wants to allocate to the room where the equipment will be installed. Most importantly, however, the building under construction must meet the requirements of Technical Specifications 2021, which specify, among other things, what the maximum annual demand of the building can be for non-renewable energy used for heating and hot water, as well as for cooling, ventilation or lighting. Thus, WT 2021 very much influences what kind of device will be allowed to be installed in a particular project.

A boiler - but what kind?

If the plot has access to natural gas, a gas boiler seems to be the natural choice for many investors. Gas is a relatively cheap and environmentally friendly source of heating and hot water.

A condensing gas boiler is convenient to use, and in the dual-function version it takes up very little space,
so no special room is needed for installation - it can be hung, for example, in the kitchen.

However, if the investor has a large family and plans to build a sizable house with two bathrooms, a better choice will be a single-function boiler and an additional hot water heater. Such a solution will provide greater comfort in the use of hot water, because with a storage tank you can heat a large supply. First of all, we will not have to deal with a reduced flow rate, as in the case of dual-function boilers, and during bathing we will not experience a decreasing temperature of the incoming water for a long time.

It is worth looking at gas condensing boilers from the offer of De Dietrich - a leader in condensation: MCR3 evo, Lumea MPX or Evodens AMC. Each of them is distinguished by reliability and high efficiency, which will save money and protect the environment.

Air source heat pump

Wanting to use renewable energy sources, you can opt for a hybrid solution - a combination of a boiler and a heat pump. A properly configured controller will ensure that the individual devices in the system are switched on and off in such a way that their operation is as economical as possible.

Air source heat pumps are currently one of the more frequently chosen solutions for new homes. It is environmentally friendly and economical to operate, although the initial outlay is higher than if only a gas boiler is used. Heat pumps are among the most modern and fastest-growing heating devices. Manufacturers are offering increasingly advanced solutions that allow investors to enjoy cheap and environmentally friendly heating and high hot water comfort.

One of the most popular De Dietrich heat pumps is the Alezio S, also available with an integrated 177-liter hot water heater. It is also worth considering a monobloc heat pump - Alezio M. Thanks to the technology used, its installation is easier and operation is cheaper.

Energy from the sun - solar collectors

In order to heat domestic hot water using renewable energy sources, the installation of solar collectors in combination with a condensing boiler or heat pump will work great. More and more investors are choosing, along with the installation of a heat pump, to install photovoltaic panels that generate the electricity necessary for the operation of the device, making the operation of the heat pump virtually cost-free.

Inisol POWER SET photovoltaic packages with Alezio S V200 air source heat pump is a comprehensive offer from De Dietrich tailored to the individual needs of each investor. In addition to producing its own electricity, it will also provide hot water generation and home heating.
