Stiebel Eltron is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2024 with significant new products. The brand is introducing new solutions in the ventilation and recuperation segment, anticipating the growing importance of this product category.
They also don't forget about a segment that has been under development for almost 50 years — heat pumps, which are an effective solution to the challenge of reducing heating costs. This aspect is important in the context of the upcoming end of the law limiting electricity prices.

Stiebel Eltron novelties: ventilation, recuperation and hot water heaters
Stiebel Eltron will increase the efficiency of ventilation and recuperation systems by several tens of percent for both central (VRC) and decentralized (VLR) units. The units will reach efficiency levels of 600m3/h for VRC and 100m3/h for VLR. In addition, their installation will be further simplified by „slimming down” central units and introducing radio type of communication in decentralized recuperators.
- We are focusing on the development of solutions of this type anticipating that they will gain in importance, especially in the context of new construction - says Rafał Krasowski, Stiebel Eltron's distribution sales director.
The development of this segment is related to the increasing energy efficiency of buildings under construction, which is the aftermath of the development of construction techniques. Newly constructed buildings are getting tighter and tighter. Installation of modern ventilation systems in them is a necessity to ensure air exchange. At the same time, recuperation allows recovery of up to 90% of the heat generated by household members or working appliances — refrigerator or television.

- In the future, the real energy needs of residential or commercial facilities will be really small. Proper ventilation and recuperation will play a key role in ensuring the right amount of heat. We can expect this revolution in the perspective of 10 years, but we can already see a definite increase in the popularity of this type of solutions. In 2023, about 50% more of them were sold - comments Rafał Krasowski.
Stiebel Eltron's offer in the segment of instantaneous water heaters is also changing.
- In flow heaters we will switch from hydraulic control to electronic one. This will translate into greater comfort for the user in terms of precision in reaching and maintaining a supply of water at the desired temperature. In addition, the new devices from the manufacturer of heating and ventilation solutions work with a Polish app for IOS and Android, which makes them easier to use — concludes Rafał Krasowski.
50 years of experience in developing heat pump technology
Interest in efficient energy systems is invariably observed. Forecasts from the International Energy Agency (IEA) indicate a projected growth in heat pump sales of more than 10 percent by the end of 2024. According to Stiebel Eltron research, heat pumps are the preferred heat source alternative among consumers. Technological advances extend to this product segment.

- They are implementing solutions that make these devices more efficient and environmentally friendly. High-efficiency heat pumps can effectively heat rooms even at outdoor temperatures as low as -25 degrees Celsius. We are working on further innovative solutions in response to increasing regulatory requirements and customer expectations. Their implementation can be expected in 2025 - says Rafał Krasowski.
Poles consider cost reduction as the main factor determining the decision to change the heating source. Heat pumps combined with photovoltaics appear as an extremely economical and pro-environmental solution.

- For Poles in the context of heat pumps, the key aspects are their reliability, heating power and energy efficiency. This approach is fully justified. However, it is worth remembering that whether the purchase of a heat pump will bring the desired results depends on taking into account the individual needs of a given building at the stage of creating the installation design and then professional installation, operation and service of the device — points out Adam Koniszewski, Stiebel Eltron investment director.
