Cargo Maxi and Cargo Midi are some of the most functional furniture accessories. On the one hand, they allow you to make the most of the space of large cabinets and cupboards, while on the other hand, they make it easier to access the products stored in them. What systems and conveniences do we currently have to choose from? And in which interiors and furniture will they work best?

Cargo is a set of baskets or shelves mounted on a sturdy frame, which can be fully pulled out of the cabinet and thus provide easy access to all the products stored in it. So much for the theory. But in practice, it turns out that there are many more cargo systems than one might think. Individual models differ, among other things, in the material they are made of, the number and type of shelves, the running system, as well as aesthetics. Attention should be paid especially to Cargo Maxi and Midi, which allow you to arrange a packed and convenient pantry even in a small kitchen.

How to choose the right type of cargo? And in what places to install them?

- REJS has been producing cargo systems almost since its inception, so almost 30 years. Initially we offered baskets made exclusively of wire. This was an extremely innovative solution for those times. They were convenient and packable, provided adequate air circulation and easy access to supplies. To this day, they are still available as part of the Maxima Classic line, and are excellent for many built-ins. Over time, these most classic proposals were joined by other solutions, distinguished by their design and aesthetics in line with the latest design trends. We are talking about Cargo Maxi from the Maxima EVO line, Maxima SILVA and Maxima PURO , introduced just a year ago," explains Joanna Posadzy, Marketing Director of REJS.

Currently, REJS offers wire and solid-bottom cargo. It allows you to conveniently place even small boxes and bottles on the shelves. The bottom can be made of white plastic(Maxima EVO), as well as graphite or white furniture board(Maxima SILVA). PURO systems, on the other hand, are available in two color variants. There are cargoes maintained in universal white with a glass insert, and there are black ones, in which the eye is attracted by a decorative insert made of oak veneer. Both are distinguished by a pleasant velvety surface texture.

Types of cargo systems

Cargo systems have come a long way not only in terms of aesthetics, but also in terms of design. In response to new user needs, REJS designers have prepared new functionalities and sizes.

Depending on the type of running system and mounting method, cargo systems come in "Side" or "Bottom" options. The former, offer a load capacity of up to 20 kg. They are attached to the side of the cabinet body. The latter, attached to the bottom and top formers, depending on the slide used, have a permissible load capacity of up to 120 kg!

Both variants allow you to adjust the height of the position of individual shelves, as well as, if needed, to mount an additional shelf. Cargo from the Maxima Classic, Evo and Silva lines can be additionally equipped with internal organization systems, so as to prevent the sliding of stored products. Instead, PURO models can be fitted with an anti-slip mat.

Cargo Maxi is available in heights of 1700-2100 mm, while Cargo Midi is available in heights of 1200-1400 mm. Different widths are also available. This allows you to more easily match the system to the planned development. Recommended for narrower cabinets, the Cargo Maxi and Midi Side with a width of 150 or 200 mm is ideal for storing: groceries in the kitchen, bags and accessories in the closet, or cosmetics and detergents in the bathroom. The Cargo Maxi Bottom, on the other hand, with a width of 300 or 400 mm (and, in the case of the Classic line, also with a width of 500 or 600 mm), will even work well for storing large pots, household appliances, towels and clothes.

Maxi solutions for special tasks

An alternative to classic cargo systems is the Cargo Maxi Ultra Box. In the case of this solution, we are dealing not with baskets suspended on a single rack, but with several drawers forming a pantry. Cargo Maxi Ultra Box allows you to configure the built-in as you wish. We ourselves choose the number of drawers, their dimensions (4 heights: 86, 118, 167 and 199 mm), color (graphite or white), as well as the type of fronts (full or railed) and internal organization system. The permissible load of one drawer is 40 kg, so we can store really heavy things here. No matter what, the full-extension slides with soft-traction will ensure smooth, quiet and comfortable movement.

Regardless of the type of cargo we bet on in our built-in, these systems are sure to surprise with their capacity and functionality. Interesting design, in turn, will allow them to be successfully integrated into modern buildings.
