Starting December 5, the GAGA Architecture Gallery in Cracow will host an exhibition dedicated to the architecture of Robert Konieczny and his studio KWK Promes. The exhibition, titled "Moving / Immovable," which had its premiere at the Architecture Gallery in Berlin, presents immovable objects that, when seen from different perspectives, take on movement.
Robert Konieczny, who in September joined the prestigious group of representatives of the French Academy of Architecture, often uses moving elements in his projects, thanks to which architecture interacts with its users. A similar mechanism, the organizers announced, applied to the exhibition design, gives the static exhibition a dynamic feel, encouraging viewers to play in the gallery space. In this way, the philosophy behind Konieczny 's and KWK Promes' designs becomes understandable, as movement is the essence without which the architecture of the buildings presented at the exhibition cannot be fully read.
The "Moving / Immovable" exhibition will present such realizations by the KWK Promes studio, in which the mobility of individual elements plays an essential role - including the Centre for Dialogue Przełomy in Szczecin (2009), Safe House (2008), Konieczny's Ark (2015) and Quadrant House (2018).
