Insulation on the inside with RenoTherm panels

28 of October '20

Insulation in historic buildings

Insulating walls and ceilings from the inside in historic buildings is not an easy or popular task. The problem can be at least condensation in the partition, which will cause dampness and fungus in the walls. It is important in such a case to choose the right materials. Ecovario offers special mineral RenoTherm panels, which, in addition to excellent insulating properties, have the property of very fast capillary rise. The forming condensate on the wall is absorbed by the board and automatically evaporated into the air. Such a method allows the structural partition to function safely and correctly without moisture and mold.

Boards of various thicknesses, made of natural raw materials, are open diffusion, providing a healthy and friendly indoor climate. In addition, they have an anti-mold pH and are non-flammable. In addition to historic buildings, they are used to insulate the ceilings of underground garages, basements, ventilation shafts and unusual buildings such as stadiums.

Advantages of the RenoTherm system

  • natural, ecological and friendly material
  • significant reduction in heating costs and energy savings
  • increase in the value of the property
  • a real sense of thermal comfort and cozy interior
  • provides a friendly and healthy microclimate of rooms
  • technically correct and safe insulation
  • protects against the development of mold
  • easy installation

Installation of RenoTherm panels

Installation of RenoTherm panels is very easy. For this we use special installation components, which, thanks to their properties, ensure the correct and trouble-free functioning of the actively capillary system. We adhere the RenoTherm boards with their entire surface to the existing wall using RenoKSL adhesive mortar. Using a toothed trowel, we sweep it over the wall or slab and then adhere it. With the same mortar, we sink the zabro mesh on the slab and trowel it. We use open-diffusion paints, such as silicate paints, to decoratively finish the surface.
