Festival of Open Architectural Studios (FOPA) 2019
- is three days of meetings, during which participants will have the opportunity to meet the most interesting architects from Krakow's top offices in their daily work environment, look at their design and research method, learn about the outlook on the city or the aesthetics of urban space, see models, projects, photos, and finally sit at a big table and talk. We want city residents, students, congress guests to have the opportunity to learn about the process of architecture, and thus learn to actively participate in the architectural debate.
Creating openness, building dialogue and public trust, creating a platform for meetings are very important elements of FOPA.
During the three days of FOPA, we will open five of the most interesting architectural studios: Moon Studio(Piotr Nawara), APA Czech_Duliński_Wróbel(Jacek Czech, Janusz Duliński, Piotr Wróbel), Horizone Studio(Dominik Darasz, Bartłomiej Kisielewski), Lewicki Łatak Design Office and Wizja Architectural Office(Stanisław Deńko).

Second meeting (completed)
APA Czech_Duliński_Wróbel
- The office was established in 1990 as a continuation of the activities of the "Academic Architecture Studio", one of the first author architectural studios in Poland. They are the authors of, among others: Kraków-Balice Airport, the Faculty of Informatics of AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, the student house of the Pedagogical Academy named after KEN in Krakow, Radio Krakow.
Wizja Biuro Architektoniczne
- founded by Stanislaw Deńko and American architect Glenn Lewis in 1993. Stanislaw Deńko had just returned from the United States at the time, where he was invited by Professor Bill Rudd, dean of the College of Architecture at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, to teach urban and architectural design there. After three years of teaching practice, he returned to the country to set up an architectural office under the new conditions of the political system, and therefore with new prospects for the practice of the profession. The foundation of the studio is primarily the experience of its leader, who, however, always leaves his younger colleagues a great deal of freedom to create visions and develop them in the design process. Final decisions are made together, right up to the stage of realization of individual works.
The basis of the ideas is the belief that the form embodied in the physical matter of a building is a language that carries a message, a concrete content. The genesis of form is a path where elements of nature, cultural context, customs, tradition - what is contained in the experience of the past combined with modern achievements of civilization - meet.
The most outstanding realizations include: Cricoteka (co-author: nsMoonStudio), Krakow Technology Park, Angel City in Krakow, Auditorium Maximum of Jagiellonian University, Incubator office building of Krakow Technology Park, John Paul II International Airport Krakow-Balice Terminal I and II, Jewish Cultural Center on Meiselsa Street in Kazimierz, Krakow.

- is formed by two charismatic architects Piotr Lewicki and Kazimierz Łatak. They are Winners of the 2018 Honorary Award of the Association of Polish Architects - the jury's justification reads: "outstanding creative activity, documented by numerous realizations and architectural competitions.
