Yawal S.A. does not rely solely on new products, but also systematically develops the systems in its portfolio. For several years now, improvements and changes have been made to the system of insulated aluminum profiles intended for the construction of top-class DP 180 lift-and-slide doors, increasing its construction possibilities and improving its technical parameters. For this reason, this year's installment of the system has been given the new name DP 180 PRIMEVIEW, which emphasizes its versatility and top position on the Polish market among solutions of this type.

New features introduced to the DP 180 PRIMEVIEW system in 2021
At the beginning of the year, the system was supplemented with a pocket door solution that is increasingly popular in Europe and gives spectacular results. DP180 PRIMEVIEW GALENDAGE allows the "hiding" of movable sashes in specially prepared pockets. Yawal is one of the first system providers to offer a GALENDAGE solution for a single door frame. As a result, we gain a unique visual effect in the form of opening the entire wall.
The other extremely impressive novelty within the system is the DP 180 PRIMEVIEW GLASS solution that allows the elimination of visible aluminum elements from the outside of the structure. The GLASS version also allows the sliding door frames to be completely hidden in the floor, ceiling and insulation layer.
Huge sliding glazings require protection from insects. Usually, the installation of a mosquito net is done at the loss of the translucent or threshold-free development. YAWAL has also prepared an innovative solution here for 2021. The new masking clips in the monorail door frame have been prepared in such a way that the popular pleated mosquito nets on the market can be installed in them. The way they are installed means that the additional elements do not reduce the light of the passage or create a dangerous barrier at the threshold level.

Construction of the sliding door system
With DP 180 PRIMEVIEW, the door leaf profile is a single insulated section that meets all functional requirements. Flocked seals contribute to reducing the sliding force of even heavy sashes, which are equipped with state-of-the-art split thermal breaks. This solution allows 100% elimination of the bimetallic effect that causes door sashes to bend due to the existing temperature difference between the interior of the house and its external environment. Equally important is the visual attractiveness of the structure. Appropriate aesthetics is provided by a decorative HPVC strip mounted on the face of the leaf. It is responsible for masking any structural elements, leaving a uniform, easy-to-clean surface.
At a time when caring for the environment is becoming our common necessity, YAWAL offers to equip the DP 180 PRIMEVIEW structure with an effective rainwater drainage system. Noteworthy is the versatility of this solution. The same gutter profile masked by an elegant perforated INOX steel cover is used in all DP 180 variants, as well as in other structures such as windows, doors or facades.
Design possibilities of DP 180 PRIMEVIEW
The system manufactured by Yawal allows patio doors to be constructed on single rail, double rail and multiple rails. The monorail solution is a popular door frame with a so-called "fixed part" that improves transparency, lowers the price of the structure, and allows the fixed panel to be glazed from the outside, making it much easier and faster to install. Double and multi-joint door frames are ideal options for customers who appreciate the visual symmetry of the structure. Until the sash is opened, an outside observer does not know which part of the door is a sliding element and which is fixed. The two-way door frame has a unique construction in the form of three lines of thermal breaks, providing excellent thermal insulation at floor level. Moreover, it is possible to construct a three-, four- or five-way doorframe based on the same sections.
Supporting the prevailing trend in modern architecture to use slim and possibly narrow aluminum profiles are two solutions offered under DP 180 PRIMEVIEW. The first is the narrow mullion, whose visible width is only 47 mm. This is one of the best values available on the market. What's more, Yawal is the only system provider on the market to offer this solution in the RC2 burglary protection class. The second is related to the possibility of creating opening corners (at an angle of +/- 90°) and all-glass corners joined at any angle while maintaining a slim and narrow connection. The novelty, introduced in 2021, allows for a smooth transition of the DP 180 PRIMEVIEW structure into the FA 50N and FA 50N SL mullion and transom facade while maintaining a similar width of visible aluminum elements in the sliding door and facade.

Convenience of use of PRIMEVIEW doors is ensured by a unique solution of a low threshold, allowing to achieve a completely threshold-free development. Unlike other HS-type products available on the market, the system from Yawal S.A. has no recesses or construction gaps. It guarantees safety for the elderly, the disabled and small children.
For demanding customers, it is also possible to automate the opening process of the DP180 PRIMEVIEW door using surface or concealed automation in the frame of the structure. All automatics used by Yawal can be equipped with a whole range of complementary elements, such as reed switches, numeric keypads, remote controls, and devices that allow the opening process to be controlled by a smartphone.
Modern architectural trends
DP 180 PRIMEVIEW is part of the dominant trend in modern architecture focusing on eliminating the visibility of aluminum elements in favor of increasing the transparency of the entire structure. However, it is not the only Yawal system to inspire designers in this regard. A proposal for investors who value prestige is the Moreview system, which allows the construction of thin-profile, large-scale glazing sequences, of which one or more sashes can slide. The frames of the structure remain completely hidden in the building's walls. The Moreview system took first place for the second time in three of the four categories of the ranking of aluminum, panoramic sliding windows organized by debesto.com. Yawal's system, according to the poll's creators, presents the best value for money. It also won in the highest quality and lowest price categories.
