Formica invites you to participate in a design competition aimed at art and design students.
The goal of the competition is to create an innovative and attractive piece of furniture using Formica® laminate. As the organizers write, the proposed object should positively influence the space around us and make life more pleasant and productive. Participants can design a piece of furniture for home interiors - kitchens, living rooms and dining rooms, or public spaces - hotels, stores, offices and schools. The main task of the competition is to find a different application of Formica® laminate in interior spaces, while emphasizing the decorative versatility of the available collections.
Submitted entries will be judged by an international jury of Renee Hytry Derrington, Eva Hoernisch and Matthew Day Jackson.
Designs must be submitted by April 17 this year via the entry form available on the competition website. Universities that also wish to participate are asked to contact the organizer by e-mail.

The winner of the contest will receive an iPad Pro, and his or her entry will be produced and used in Formica Group's promotional materials. The winners of the first three places will also receive shopping vouchers.
