Barcelona, September 20, 2022. Kave Home heads to Casa Studio Leopoldo Pomés to present its new AW22 collection, A View of Hedonism, a fusion and interpretation of design in its purest form.
The house is located in Barcelona's Gracia neighborhood and has a total surface area of 400 sqm, of which 300 sqm is spread over two floors inside and 100 sqm is spread outside in the form of an Italian-inspired patio.
This unique home was Leopoldo Pomés' studio before becoming his residence in the 1970s, with the help of architects Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá, who realized the project.

The rooms are unique because of their architecture, as well as their layout. The most important room is the living room/dining room, a space that originally served as the photographer's studio and features a large skylight that lets in light and a large industrial-style fireplace. It is painted all white, and the wooden floor is also white. The room is furnished with furniture from the Licia collection and a comfortable and elegant Karin sofa, named after the artist's wife.

Patio inspired by Italian style
The most important change has been to the Italian-inspired patio, designed by one of the artist's friends, architect Oscar Tusquets. An outdoor space that recreates classical architecture through arches, columns and balustrades to create visual depth. The entire space is accompanied by a contrasting color palette of blue and ochre. The Comova garden collection, 100% designed for year-round outdoor use, integrates perfectly in this space. With a minimalist style and timeless elegance, thanks to the aluminum structure.

The house once belonged to Modest Urgell, a painter, landscape painter and writer, where he had his studio and where many of the paintings he painted, purchased by Pomés, are collected today. Many of the furnishings and decorations, including canvases and works of art, are still an important marker of the house's style and make it even more remarkable.

An unconventional bedroom, the Licia collection fully integrates with its surroundings. It includes fashionable elements that bring a sense of movement to the room. Next to his bedroom is the corner where Leopoldo Pomés worked, his place of inspiration that follows the latest trends.

The Licia collection is getting bigger, a design by the Kave Home team, handcrafted from pieces of solid, organic mango wood, individually placed one by one to create its rounded shapes. The collection is called A View of Hedonism, as Leopoldo described himself, a hedonist, a lover of beautiful things who doesn't deny himself the pleasures afforded by food, women and, above all, shoes.
