Waking up, or talking about jobs in the creative industry to start the day right

Tomorrow, Thursday, April 15, at 9:00 a.m., we invite you to the next Awakenings - conversations about childhood, university time and the beginnings of careers with well-known people from the creative industry. The guest of the program, organized by the anti-RAMA collective, will be Oskar Zięta.

In the next episode of the Awakenings series, Oskar Zięta will talk not only about his career, his time at university, his childhood and his dreams and career plans, but also about the future of creative professions, architecture and parametric design, and what is more important: talent or hard work.

Oskar Zięta - an architect and process designer, received his PhD from ETH Zurich University, where he led research, development and implementation projects on steel stabilization technology as part of Zieta Prozessdesign, founded in 2010: FIDU or 3+.

Author of the iconic PLOPP stool (2008), as well as architectural sculptures designed using the parametric method, including the tallest sculpture in public space in Poland - the WIR installation (North Gallery, Warsaw 2017). He is also the author of the Mies van der Rohe Prize-nominated NAWA pavilion-sculpture (Daliowa Island, Wroclaw 2017).

His design work has been repeatedly recognized with the most important design awards, including the Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland Award, Red Dot and Audi Mentor Preis, as well as a nomination for the Schweizer Design Preis. Such brands as Audi, Architonic, Ballantine's, Pirelli and the Victoria & Albert Museum have collaborated with Oskar Zięta. His works are in the collections of the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich, the Pinakothek in Munich and the Centre Pompidou in Paris, among others.
