Silestone Loft quartz conglomerates from Cosentino

Cosentino, a leader in the production and distribution of innovative large-format surfaces, is launching a new collection of quartz conglomerates, shades inspired by the industrial style in architecture. The origin of this style dates back to the early 20th century, when many places began to transform abandoned factories, large workshops and warehouses into lofts. Concrete, cement, visible beams and pipes, and the deliberately left rawness of the space became a leading and popular phenomenon, turning the industrial look into a trend that is reflected in the latest shades of the Loft Silestone collection.

It was the connection between the past and the present that led to the creation of the colors in the Silestone® collection: Camden, Poblenou, Seaport, Nolita and Corktown. Do these names sound familiar? Yes, because each shade represents one of the iconic places with a distinctive history and industrial aesthetic reflected in the streets, buildings, furniture and decor.

Silestone® Camden - familiar and vibrant

A color inspired by one of London's most famous neighborhoods, Camden sounds like 80s punk, speaks a thousand languages, enjoys eclecticism and is home to hundreds of artists.... Posters and ephemeral artwork are an important part of the neighborhood's history and adorn its exposed brick facades. The authentic steel tones and natural wear of these spaces inspired the creation of a new shade of quartz conglomerate; a soft, delicate gray with a fine grain and very subtle white veining. Camden is a cement-like gray and a versatile color that, due to its uniformity, easily adapts to its surroundings and blends in with any setting.

Silestone® Poblenou - Mediterranean flavor

This, in turn, is a color inspired by the epicenter of Barcelona's industrial revolution and one of the city's most modern and creative neighborhoods. Poblenou combines Mediterranean warmth and an industrial look. It's cosmopolitan and suburban at the same time. Family-oriented and multicultural. The neighborhood's old industrial buildings have been transformed into stunning loft spaces surrounded by art galleries, bars and office buildings. Its character was the inspiration for Silestone® Poblenou, a warm gray shade with very fine veining and a sandy background that illuminates and provides the interior with a pleasant texture.

Seaport

Silestone® Seaport - coastal industry

Seaport is reminiscent of a small waterfront area of southeast Manhattan, where past and history blend with the neighborhood's docks, restaurants and stores. Exposed brick, worn concrete and the distinctive wood of the docks create a range of colors that inspired another Silestone® shade. With its mix of color and tones, Seaport is very similar to dark, worn cement, and its striking white streaks blend perfectly with the background. It's a color made for cozy, intimate interiors where upholstered surfaces, ochre, blue and smoky glass reign supreme. A simple shade that will take your breath away.

Nolita

Silestone® Nolita - sophisticated youthfulness

Nolita is a creation inspired by New York, particularly its avant-garde neighborhood, which was intriguing even before it got its name in the mid-1990s. Nolita is famous for its personality and architecture, which gave it such a unique character. With this background, Cosentino created Silestone® Nolita, the white shade of the Loft® collection. Nolita is a cold and industrial color. The mix of white and light grays here creates an elegant, delicate line, devoid of strong contrasts.

Corktown

Silestone® Corktown - the new old style

Corktown was inspired by the light and shade of a Detroit neighborhood that grew up amid steam, crowds and the sound of engines. Corktown was originally a thriving neighborhood, but it declined and was destroyed. Despite these problems, Corktown was revived decades ago, attracting tourists with its renewed beauty and interesting style. This place was the inspiration for Corktown, the most intense and deep shade of black in the Silestone® Loft collection. The dark background here blends beautifully with intense brown accents and a matte surface finish. This color is ideal for exclusive and mature spaces where every detail counts.

Silestone® HybriQ+

The Silestone® Loft collection introduces the innovative and unique Hybriq+® technology for the first time. Hybriq+® is a huge step in the development of quality for the Silestone® brand. The new manufacturing process is Cosentino's nod to environmental protection, the development of a closed-loop economy and sustainable management. Thanks to innovative technology, reclaimed raw materials such as recycled glass are used in the production of Silestone® Loft. In addition, it is worth remembering that Cosentino's production processes are powered by energy from renewable sources and water, 98% recycled.

That's not all, thanks to Hybriq+® technology, the presence of crystalline silica has been significantly reduced in Silestone® Loft surfaces. Instead, a hybrid formulation involving the use of mineral and recycled raw materials is used. The new composition gives the material modern aesthetic and design qualities, while maintaining the Silestone® brand's signature quality and beauty and its 25-year warranty.

This change, in addition to increasingly better environmental results, has allowed Cosentino to achieve another milestone that will change the standards in the quartz surface category. By reducing the presence of quartz in the formulation of the new Silestone® colors, Cosentino anticipates the requirements of future regulations and stricter rules relating to the reduced use of silica. This means even greater job security both at the company's own production facilities and at the facilities of all its stone customers.

Hybriq+® technology has enabled the development of a new - more sustainable and environmentally friendly - generation of Silestone® surfaces. This achievement is the result of more than three years of intensive work by Cosentino Group's Innovation, Product and Environmental experts.
