The revitalization of the area in front of the railway station in Sosnowiec is a significant project that is one of the key ones in the city's development plan. The January Uprising Square - for this is the name given to the area in front of the station of the historic Warsaw-Vienna Railway - is another unique location in which Fulco System furniture stood.
Already in 2017, a new concept for the development of the space in front of the railway station was revealed. The design studio AMAYA Architects was behind it, and it was their project that was accepted and implemented. Unfortunately, the work was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was completed in the second quarter of 2023. Currently, only minor finishing work is underway.

Refreshing the space for public use, especially around a train or bus station, requires not only well thought-out traffic routes, but also the selection of urban greenery and small architecture elements. Specially designed benches with pots are fully adapted to ensure healthy growth of greenery such as flowers, shrubs or trees. The special outer cover of the pot also provides additional protection for the rooting and the plant itself. The large interior space helps maintain the relatively adequate moisture content of the substrate without the need for too much watering, and the structural surface gives enough room for the plant's roots to grow freely and safely. Thanks to the experience of the designers from Fulco System, it was possible to obtain a multifunctional piece of small architecture characterized by high aesthetics and wide usability fitting perfectly into the Wave collection, which is one of the most frequently chosen by architects.

Of course, urban space is not only benches and flower pots, but also bicycle and recycling infrastructure. Each of these elements plays a very important role, and their presence is highly relevant. In an era of striving to lower the carbon footprint and a strong sustainability policy, bicycle racks have been installed to provide new single-track parking spaces right next to the station itself. In an effort to protect the environment, Fulco has also installed a series of multi-compartment garbage cans for recycling paper, glass, plastic and separately mixed waste. The garbage cans are equipped with stainless steel bag inserts and ashtrays to provide the greatest possible versatility in waste collection.
Sosnowiec is one of the most dynamically changing cities in Poland, and the area in front of the Warsaw-Vienna Railway Station is not only one of the city's landmarks but also an important point on the historical map of Poland.
