Rockfon acoustic products achieve Silver level of leading sustainability standard Cradle to Cradle Certified®
Copenhagen, Denmark - Rockfon, part of the Rockwool Group, is proud to announce that 86% of the brand's acoustic solutions have achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified® accreditation at the Silver level in version 4.0 of the global sustainability standard.
Cradle to Cradle Certified® (C2C) is the leading certification system for acoustic products.
As of 2021. Cradle to Cradle Certified® (C2C) is the primary certification system for Rockfon's sustainability products, used to provide customers with independent verification in five areas: Safety of Materials for Health, Closed Circulation of Products, Clean Air and Climate Protection, Water and Soil Management, and Social Justice.

The C2C certification means that Rockfon products:
- Are designed with technologies aimed at reducing carbon emissions and water consumption.
- Are contributing to a closed-loop economy.
- Are evaluated for the safety of materials for health.
- They are intended to have a positive impact on society.
Rockfon has also achieved the Platinum Cradle to Cradle Certified® level in the General - Environmental Policy and Management category and the Gold level in the Social Justice category.
Cradle to Cradle Certified® (C2C) is a leading, multi-attribute standard used in many industries around the world for materials and products that enable the creation of a "healthy, just and sustainable future." To date, more than 34,000 products worldwide have been certified, ranging from building materials to automotive goods and apparel.
The C2C database is applicable to the construction industry, helping developers, architects and contractors source sustainable materials and products. Using certified products also helps earn points under various major building rating systems, such as LEED and WELL.
Since 2016. Rockwool has been implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which provide a framework for setting economic, social and environmental goals. External and science-based evaluation systems, such as C2C, are key to independent evaluation and establishing an action plan to achieve and measure progress.
