Roofing membranes are a modern alternative to felt laid under the final roof covering. They are easier to lay and lighter and, unlike felt, are both waterproof and vapor-permeable.
The vapor permeability of membranes is determined by the Sd parameter. The Sd value for a given membrane refers to the thickness of a layer of air with the same resistance to vapor as that membrane. For example, the extremely durable mdm® Ventia Neo membrane has a high vapor permeability - Sd=0.12 [m], which means that it puts up the same negligible diffusion resistance as a 12 cm thick air layer.

The durability of membranes is determined by several criteria, the most important of which is resistance to UV radiation, which results in micro-cracks that weaken the membrane and reduce its waterproofing properties. Another important factor is resistance to high temperatures - roofs covered with sheet metal or metal tiles and those on which photovoltaic panels are installed heat up to extreme temperatures.

Themdm® Ventia Neo roof membrane is an ideal solution for home construction. It effectively protects against water, has high mechanical strength, and the time allowed for UV exposure is as long as six months! Resistance to high temperatures reaches +120°C.

To ensure adequate mechanical strength, the mdm® Ventia Neo membrane uses an extremely flexible, ultra-flexible TPU film, which guarantees much higher resistance to stretching, tearing and aging processes than PP microporous film membranes. High technical parameters classify the mdm® Ventia Neo membrane in the premium category.

It should be noted that the membrane in question is characterized by a high class of reaction to fire - B-s1, d0 (a product with very limited contribution to fire). The membrane is classified as a non-combustible construction product - in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Infrastructure.
The described product, unlike competing solutions, is manufactured using innovative adhesive lamination technology. The needled fabric fibers are evenly smoothed and do not interfere with the functional layer - as in the case of heat-poured TPU layer technology.
