A guide to making path in the garden
How to make paths?
First, plan where the paths will be located. Analyze how you move around the garden. Then lay out paths in these places. Avoid paths next to large trees to prevent possible problems with roots. Make sure that the place you choose does not interfere with plants or other elements of the garden. Another important aspect to consider is the width of the path. If it is gonna be too narrow, it won't be useful.
Use a string to mark lines so you will be able to see a clear outline of the path. They can be straight and geometric or more winding, broken or curved. Before laying the material, properly prepare the ground. Cut the grass and weeds along the designated space. Then remove the layer of soil. Make sure the ground is even.
If you want to create a clear border, use edging. It can be made for example, of metal, wood or plastic. It will also help to keep the material from which the alley is created in place. Finally, you can install additional elements, such as lighting, plants or ornaments. Remember that creating a garden path is a creative process, so don't hesitate to experiment.
