In our #Mlodzipolscyarchitekci series, we ask questions to young architects about the problems and conditions facing young people after graduation.
Licenses - why are young architects reluctant to get them?
That's a lot of design time and private time turned off to learn the regulations, which change every few years. Personally, I'm not aware of what is required to get them and where, and the question of paperwork, in practice on the construction site is often implemented according to the principle: how to do so as not to make a lot of money.

Conditions of practice for the young
Luck and misfortune - it's difficult to take off with your own studio and a large loan. In the beginning, it is easier if you have any financial support, and not everyone has such a background, and even that is not a guarantee of success. Lack of an investor with more resources or continuous cooperation, that is, a steady income, lead to designing small things that are difficult to plan. There are a lot of them and overall they are unprofitable.

An easier start in the profession, or what kind of start?
Abroad, there are interesting supports for new firms that compensate, for example, for the commitment of an apprentice, there are competitions aimed only at fresh offices - with less competition from well-known architectural studios and a higher probability of winning.
