Another month or two and we'll pack the car to the roof. We'll put on straw hats, swap the suit for a pulled-out beloved sweatshirt still from our college days. The kids will eat sandwiches for the road already under the house, and the dog will not sit for a moment all the way to the Masuria.
The vacation home can't wait for us. Empty rooms will be filled with bustle, a fire will be lit in the fireplace, when dusk falls the lighted windows in the attic will be seen from afar, from across the lake.
Lighting in the summer house

We love our summer homes. More and more, deep in our hearts we feel that this is where we belong, this is where we want to spend our lives. Close to nature, among the Masurian meadows and lakes, in the Bieszczady forests, in a small village in Podlasie. Diametrically changed our attitude to their arrangement. A summer house is no longer a repository of unnecessary things.
Superb architectural designs gazing at the landscape, using locally occurring materials, referring to the traditional buildings of the region - such are now our summer places. Modern barns value restraint and natural materials above all else, and in a country house it's very easy to get a crush, a crush.

Dutch design fits perfectly into the style of modern summer homes. It does not pretend to be folklore, it does not glamorize. Not only is it made of natural materials: wood, cork, rattan, seagrass, wicker, bamboo, but its production process is sustainable.
An excellent example of this is the Good&Mojo brand lamps available at Dutchhouse.co.uk. When we see their good designs, subdued colors and refined simplicity we automatically think of a home where respect for the planet is evident at every turn.

Although the Good&Mojo models have distant exotic destinations in their names (because they were the inspiration for their creation - local traditional crafts and materials), they also harmonize beautifully with the climate of the Polish summer. The disc-shaped pendant lamp was made from cork from the Algarve region of Portugal. Can you imagine it over a wooden table? And those light, openwork, lampshades of Bromo lamps? You can see how wonderfully they sway in the dining room as soon as you open the window. In the evening, the black bamboo models will cast magical shadows around.

It's hard to decide which has the most beautiful shape. Cango? Madagascar? Iguazu? How about juxtaposing several different ones and creating a composition under the beamed ceiling of the attic? Above the kitchen island, necessarily in a pair should hang long Kalimantan lamps. They are interesting because of their surprising proportions and delicate fine patterns. Most Good&Mojo lamps are available in many versions (floor, pendant and wall lamps).
If we have a romantic nature, we will definitely dream of a lamp like a sprig of field bells for the bedroom. It's a seven-point Kalimantan pendant lamp with hand-woven bamboo shades in straw color (there's also a similar Sequoia model with shades made of sequoia wood). Dutchhouse also offers desk lamps. Let these stand on the windowsill and, like lighthouses, show evening walkers the way home. Cango and Palawan models (in three sizes) can also successfully serve as night lamps.

The Good&Mojo brand is famous for its use of recycled materials. For example, Amazon lamps with shades made from... car tires. This is a suggestion for summer homes decorated in a minimalist manner. The black rubber shades of Amazon lamps will play well with concrete and glass surfaces. For many years, the manufacturer has been directing part of the proceeds from sales to the Waka Waka Foundation, and every lamp sold is a new tree planted.
