Bathroom design inspired by the concept of a home spa? FJORDD has awarded the most aesthetically fascinating bathrooms that express the idea of creating a home spa. Intriguing finished realizations and design-innovative projects submitted to the first edition of the "Best Home Spa - Bathroom with FJORDD" competition.
The first edition of the competition is behind us! Designers and architects could participate in two categories - visualization and realization. The basic condition of the competition was to use a minimum of two products from the unique FJORDD collection to depict what the idea of a home spa is all about! The prize was 5,000 zlotys and vouchers for any product!
Participants were to draw inspiration from the concept of creating a home spa, where relaxation and rest become possible through the use of products from the FJORDD collection. The creative approach and the use of colors from the Colours by FJORDD palette were intended to enable the creation of an ideal interior. Creating a comfortable environment for users of this unique series was the most important element. The jury, together with the chairman of the commission of independent experts Iwona Ławecka-Marczewska, editor-in-chief of the designdoc.pl portal, evaluated the submitted projects in terms of functionality, aesthetics and the idea of creating a home spa.
Dream place
First place in the competition in the Visualization category was awarded to designer Agata Gale for her 18m² bathroom design, designed to create a relaxing space that provides a sense of calm and relaxation. The main color scheme of the project is a combination of calm, subdued colors with nature-inspired elements. The jury awarded the work first place due to the following factors: the innovative idea of grouping the bathing and washing areas in the form of a bathroom island; the bold concept of using two different types of Fjordd washbasins in one bathroom; the comprehensive view of the needs of users, which is expressed, among other things, in the form of a separate place to do things in the bathroom.Among other things, the separation of a place for applying makeup or performing other cosmetic procedures; the creative introduction of greenery into the interior, which thanks to it is even more conducive to relaxation.
The design features a freestanding bathtub from the Fjord collection, a freestanding washbasin from the Lyse collection, and a washbasin from the Sogne 400 collection. All products are in Kjerag matte color.

Second place was awarded to Maciej Kozlowski for his design of a bathroom, where architecture and lighting build a backdrop for the key elements of home spa equipment - the bathtub. The space gives breath to the household members and allows them to prepare for a new day. The surrounding architecture must support this process by limiting outside stimuli. The jury's recognition went to the sparing use of means of expression, in accordance with Mies van der Rohe's maxim "Less is more"; the striking play of light and shadow, emphasizing the aesthetic forms of Fjordd products; and the creation of an atmosphere of calm, tranquility and relaxation.
The design used the Salma collection in white shade, matte finish.

The jury also appreciated the emphasis on the aesthetic qualities of Fjordd products and their practical functionality, as well as the skillful matching of the furnishings to the overall concept of the interior.
