Lodowato in Tychy is another ice realization by the musk collective. In 2018, Lodowato was also created in Katowice. Both projects are characterized not only by a similar red-gold color scheme, but also by a geometric concept. In Tychy there are colorful cubes protruding from the walls, while in Katowice there are hanging spheres. The effect attracts all ice cream lovers!
Ice cream shops are slowly ceasing to be just a counter in a small room, from behind which saleswomen serve cones filled with ice cream balls. More and more of them tempt not only with a variety of flavors, but also with a colorful interior of the premises, which takes customers back to the time of childhood. The Lodowato ice cream parlors designed by the Musk Kolektyw studio, creating artisanal ice cream in Silesia, are no different. The interiors of each establishment differ, but nevertheless the company's signature color scheme remains the same.
Basia Hyjek: What was the main inspiration for this project?
Musk Collective: Together with the investors, we took a strategy for the look of the next Ice Cream locations. We didn't want them to be the same spaces, bounced on a stamp basis and matched with a new volume. Each location is to be kept in a similar color scheme (mimicking the brand's colors), but the look is to change with each location.
With such a small room, the only possibility was to work with the "ceiling" and so we did

Basia: What were the investor's expectations and needs?
Musk Collective: The investors left us a free hand when it came to the appearance of the premises - they chose from two concepts, where the unanimous winner was the one we see on the implementation. In terms of functionality, we had a predetermined amount of equipment that had to fit in this small premises. The issue of a seasonal display window was also an important point to design.
Basia: Where did you get the idea for such a combination of colors, patterns and materials?
Musk Collective: With such a small room, the only possibility was to work with the "ceiling" and so we did. In this case, we design with economical materials, which at the same time will last for many seasons.

Basia: What gave you the most satisfaction in creating this project, and what was the biggest challenge?
Musk Collective: The biggest challenge was to create another venue for Ice Cream that would defend itself with its uniqueness and attract outside customers. Apparently, we have conquered it and now the satisfaction is in designing the third location, which we will show soon.
