Can a conventional bar be replaced by a wooden rack? Are culinarily interesting places reserved only for immediate city centers? Finally, can a restaurant be the beginning of social integration? Wroclaw's Pieno restaurant shows that it can.
Located in Wroclaw's Psie Pole district, the Pieno restaurant was ultimately to be distinguished by its method of organization, its color scheme, and also, its unique rack. The cozy, homey character of the interior is meant to encourage neighborhood ties and local integration.
We wanted to create a place where guests would not only eat delicious food, but also experience the authentic atmosphere of the Italian lifestyle and the values of a well-integrated neighborhood community. Our bookcase, full of tasty offerings, is like an open book of culinary adventures for the residents of the neighborhood," point out the authors of the project and founders of the studio We Know Each Other: Bogna Kawa-Nowak, Aleksandra Majdzik and Wojciech Nowak.

dolce vita
Rather than specific interior design styles, Pieno's arrangement wants to refer to the character of Italian everyday life - close relationships built, among other things, by eating meals together. This Italian character is to be complemented by the vintage elements used in the restaurant.

Attention is drawn to the black and white striped ceramic floor contrasting with the white and gray of the walls and ceiling, which was additionally not leveled, but left in a more austere shape. Dominant next to white and black are colors of soft bottle green, burgundy red or a wide palette of browns.

bookcase in place of a bar
An eye-catching element in this interior is the interesting use of a bookcase, which took the place usually intended for conventional bars. The minimalist bookcase, additionally decorated with shades of black, red and wood, is filled not only with accessories to build the coziness of the interior, but also with appliances. In this way, the designers wanted to create an intimate character, encouraging integration and meetings.

a place to meet
Among the important elements of Pieno's arrangement is the layout of the restaurant's zones, which includes a neighborhood section with meeting space, a quieter intimate section and a tasting area. This layout allows to create conditions closer to home relaxation.

accumulation of many factors
Pieno's arrangement designed by Znamy allows combining the essence of the Italian mood, an intimate character conducive to social gatherings and vintage style. Breaking through the use of a bookcase further gives this space a unique character.
