The pandemic is placing new demands on urban space, and many industry experts believe the crisis could have a lasting impact on the way cities are designed. How will our thinking about architecture and urban planning change? Invited guests will try to answer these and other questions this Thursday.
Previously, before the pandemic, architects, designers and contractors tried to create urban spaces where people congregated, but the quarantine forced a massive change in behavior and isolation. This put new demands on urban space design. Requirements that may continue even after the pandemic ends.
So how do we plan cities after a pandemic? How will it affect our thinking about architecture? Will the pandemic help change our cities to be more livable and contribute to a green transformation? Or is it the opposite? These are some of the questions that will be discussed during a webinar organized by the Royal Embassy in Denmark.
