Can you hear the sound of the sea, the cries of seagulls? Can you feel the warm sand under your feet? The wind blows your hair away, the salt settles on your skin, and in front of you is the boundless North Sea, all the way to the horizon. We are in Castricum aan Zee in the west of the Netherlands, a popular resort that is famous for its phenomenal beaches, great restaurants, beautiful hotels and guesthouses. In one such unpretentious place we will stay for a little longer. The seaside hotel is unique, designed by the Breddels Architecten studio, and you'll find spaces furnished with furniture, lamps and accessories from the Dutch cult brand HKliving.

Time rushes by, mornings merge with evenings. Work, home, traffic jams on the streets. Shopping, phone calls, errand lists and interviews. Stop. It's time to relax. Turn off the phone and hole up at least for a few days among the dunes at the Pavillion Zoomers Hotel & Beach.
The owners of this place know very well what to do to ensure total relaxation for their guests, the tired townsfolk. It's meant to be luxurious, but not intimidating. Comfortable, but without glamour and snobbery. It's supposed to be like... home. Which is to say, how? Warm and cozy.

High-quality natural materials wrap the hotel rooms. Solid wood furniture feels great in seaside interiors. Especially those made of exotic woods with cane or rattan braided elements. Colonial echoes (today we call this style "boho") can be seen in the three-piece screen that discreetly dispatches the kitchenette and in the chairs with seagrass-woven seats. Even the blue chests of drawers, where guests store their clothes, are finished with rattan screens that give them a light touch, their simple form getting a stylish snap. The plaids on the furniture are complemented by a seagrass carpet.

The wonderfully casual atmosphere that prevails in the hotel is not only due to the furniture. HKliving's stylists made sure that the interiors were decorated with numerous decorations - original accessories for which the Dutch brand is famous - these can be ordered from the brand's representative, BM Housing.
Lamps are an important element of a hotel room. Even if it is decorated perfectly, poorly designed lighting will spoil the whole effect. In a North Sea hotel, ceiling lamps sway in the wind. The braided lampshades cast magical shadows all around, and the light itself is discreet and atmospheric. In the rooms we will also notice table lamps (artistic, white with a lampshade decorated with a delicate graphic depicting a woman's profile) andmetal night lights in a simple, classic shape.

On the shelf, desk, chest of drawers stand ceramics, selected to colorfully relate to the textiles - pillows, bedspreads, curtains. The color palette oscillates between the hue of the golden sand of the beach, the sky covered with clouds and the crests of the waves when the sea becomes restless. The subdued interior is dynamized by patterned striped pillows and colorful geometric figures.
Not only the guest rooms were decorated by HKliving. Their furniture can also be found in the hotel restaurant and on the terrace. These are not only tables and chairs, but also comfortable modular sofas, coffee tables made of mangrove wood, woven deep armchairs. The atmosphere is also created by decorative silk lanterns.
