The location of a facility focused primarily on restoring people's health and well-being is no coincidence. St. Charbel Hotel is located in the well-known Ukrainian health resort of Morshyn, located in the Lviv region, 150 km from Poland's Przemyśl.
The resort's spa history dates back as far as the 15th century. It is known for its traditions of treatment, relaxation and mineral water springs. Among other things, the "Morszanka" water went down in Polish history as "the strongest bitter water springs", since the locality lies in the former eastern borderlands. An additional element of drawing on history is the figure of St. Charbel featured in the name, and alluding to the cult of the 19th-century monk from Lebanon believed to be a healer.
This blend of culture, tradition, beliefs and nature is also perfectly evident in the interiors of the modern hotel. Behind the design of the building is one of the largest Ukrainian architectural studios, the AVG group, with vast international experience, known in the USA, Slovakia, India, the UAE, as well as in Poland, where it has realized, among other things, the offices of Immofinanz on the 38th floor of Warsaw Spire.
Close to nature also inside
The environment of nature, the proximity of forests, salt water intakes and clean air, as well as the nature of the hotel, was the architects' determinant of the direction in designing the interior design. Natural colors and materials dominate throughout the hotel from the lobby to the rooms and service areas. Entering the hotel, one feels almost surrounded by trees - the walls and ceilings of the lobby are covered with wooden, muted colors. A vivid green stretches across the entire surface of the hotel lobby wall.

The architects used, among other things, vertical Baffles from Knauf Ceiling Solutions' Thermatex line to create light, dynamic ceilings. On part of the surface, the regular grid of acoustic panels is also complemented by fussy, openwork lamps. The whole creates the impression of being in a forest, with tree branches stretching all around, overhead.
Pastel hues also dominate the gastronomic area. Openwork decorations of lamps, acoustic panels, vertical wall fin s not only quieten the interior acoustically, causing effective sound absorption, they also give a visually calming effect. The only color accent here remains the warm hue of the red-orange upholstery of the chairs.
Decorative rosettes in a sandy hue made of specially suspended vertical panels from Knauf Ceiling Solutions are designed to dampen the sound of conversation and noise that usually prevails in an open, large restaurant space.

Connectivity is the defining element of the entire hotel, even in terms of cuisine and flavors. Guests here can count on both traditional Ukrainian cuisine and the oriental flavors of Asia - Japanese, Chinese and Indian cuisine, which are served in a second restaurant.

The complex doesn't just stop at the medi spa formula. It is focused on restoring the balance of health and mental relaxation, but the investor was well aware that guests on longer stays need to work out sometimes, though. So a zone with mini-office rooms was created. And for those who plan to come with children - a special zone where the youngest guests will also spend time, rocking almost literally. Because in the children's rooms, special round island ceilings from the Topiq Sonic line and white islands in the shape of clouds have been installed on the ceilings.
