VASCO Group, a manufacturer of exclusive decorative radiators, has once again invited architects and interior designers to the VASCO Integration competition. The final gala, during which the committee will announce the results of this year's competition, will be held on May 18 at 5 pm on online platforms.
Integration of the architectural industry has been the idea behind the VASCO competition for nearly 15 years. Its goal is to promote the best interior designs that use VASCO decorative radiators, thus realizing the strategy of Art full of warmth.
The winners of the current 12th edition of the competition, for which Architecture and Business has assumed patronage, will be announced soon during the final gala, which this year, exceptionally, will be held via online platforms. It will be broadcast live both on the organizer's website and on Facebook.
In addition to the announcement of the results, we will also get to know the awarded projects and their authors more closely. Representatives of the competition's jury, chaired by Robert Majkut (designer and CEO at Robert Majkut Designer LTD) - will talk about the reflections that accompanied them during the verification and selection of the winning projects, leading trends, as well as changes in interior architecture that are inevitable nowadays.
To date, more than 1,500 architectural studios have participated in all editions of the competition, submitting more than 1,800 projects. Similarly, during this edition, despite the pandemic, the competition enjoyed great interest.
We received many submissions at a very high level, using creative and thoughtful solutions. Many of them were in response to the changing needs of the industry or the threats posed by climate change," says Patrycja Michalek (Product Manager VASCO Group, Secretary of the VASCO Integration Competition).
Association of Interior Designers and Universities
The 12th edition of the competition definitely stands out from the others. All thanks to the Association of Interior Architects, which for the first time became a partner of the competition and took over the substantive patronage of a newly created category - INNOVATIONS. This is the area in which, in this edition of the competition, interior architects designed a container summer house. On behalf of SAW, the submitted projects were evaluated by well-known architects Robert Majkut, Paweł Sokół, Jacek Tryc, Agnieszka Stefańska, Roland Stańczyk, Magda Federowicz-Boule.
The VASCO Integration competition was also aimed at students, so the organizers invited universities to cooperate, and the submitted works were also evaluated by lecturers from prestigious universities in the country: Prof. Jan Sikora, Dr. Szymon Hanczar and Dr. Beata Dobryjanowicz. The jury also included well-known journalists such as: Agnieszka Gruszczyńska-Hyc, Anna Grużewska, Ewa Mierzejewska, Małgorzata Szczepańska, Paweł Rafa and Olga Kisiel-Konopka.
