Save water and maximize hygiene! Up to 30% of household water consumption goes to flushing the toilet. However, modern sanitary solutions help to use this most precious of resources more efficiently. The Viega Prevista flush requires only 2 liters at low flush and 3.5 liters at full flush. This has earned it a 4-star WELL rating for private use and a 6-star rating for public facilities.
Theindependent WELL rating system was developed by manufacturers of sanitary solutions, under the auspices of the VDMA mechanical engineering association, to provide customers with objective information. Products such as bathroom fixtures and cisterns are tested for sustainable water consumption, user comfort and appropriate hygiene standards. This is the equivalent of the energy labels used by home appliance manufacturers.
Extremely low water consumption
In the case of toilet cisterns, efficient water use is a priority in the context of the WELL rating. They must also operate efficiently at reduced flush volumes. The Prevista cistern guarantees maximum efficiency with a full flush of the toilet, according to EN 997. It also achieved the best result with a sparing flush. This provided Viega's product with the maximum number of points in the "Home" category. The amount of water can be easily adjusted without tools from 3.5 to 7.5 liters for a full flush and from 2 to 4 liters for a sparing flush.

Maximum hygiene level
The WELL classification for the public facility category additionally includes two hygiene-related criteria. This assesseswhether touchless actuation buttons are available for the cistern, as well as theoption for automatic hygienic flushing in cases of prolonged breaks in use. Viega offers both of these solutions.
As part of the extensive Visign pushbutton series, touchless models with attractive designs are also available. All electronically actuated pushbuttons feature an automatic flush system, activated in cases of prolonged breaks in use. The usercan program both the time interval and the amount of water used. As a result, the WELL judges awarded the Viega cistern the maximum number of points.

One cistern, many possibilities
Viega Prevista is a new generation concealed system, characterized by exceptional flexibility in terms of installation and bathroom design. Whether wet or dry installation, the cistern is always the same. This greatly simplifies installation, and allows individual customers or builders to choose the right actuating button only at the final stage of the project, together with fittings and other bathroom fixtures.
Through the eyes of an expert
Grzegorz Walijewski (IMGW) explains the importance of saving water in households, and how consumption can be reduced by changing habits accompanying daily bathroom activities.
Water resources in Poland per capita average about 1,600 m³/year, during dry periods it is only 1,000 m³/year (2015-2016, 2018-2019). Both of these figures are below the water security threshold, which is considered to be a value of 1700 m³ per capita. Poland's water resources are several times less than the average water resources per average European (4560 m³/year). In view of this, it is important to understand how difficult the situation is and how much depends on human actions.
Saving water, retaining (storing) it and changing habits in homes and workplaces (bathroom, kitchen) will help reduce consumption. In Poland, average water consumption per person is nearly 100 liters per day (source: CSO 2020). Most water is wasted through bad habits accompanying the performance of daily activities in the bathroom and kitchen.
If the capacity of a cistern is 10 liters, a family of four uses about 58 m³ of drinking water per year. This is more than 38,000 bottles of drinking water. The average toilet user goes to the toilet an average of six times a day. Using modern dual-flush toilets, when 3 liters of water are used per flush, would reduce bathroom water consumption by 60-70%. On the other hand, the savings for the entire household would be about 40%. This allows a family of 4 to save 30 to 40 m³ of water per year, and this means saving at least PLN 360 per year. Therefore, a quick change in our habits at home and in the workplace will allow us to reduce water consumption and save significantly.
