We would like to invite you to participate in the competition for an urban-architectural concept for the development and construction of the market square in Janów, organized by the Katowice branch of the Association of Polish Architects.
The purpose of the competition is to select an urban-architectural concept for the development and construction of the market - Grunwaldzki Square, John Paul II Square and Kościelna Street in Janow, the best in terms of functionality, use and composition, taking into account the context of the existing development of the area and its surroundings - in the material, aesthetic, cultural and social sense.
Competition works will be judged according to the following qualities:
- urban-architectural, including in particular - the composition of the spatial premise, functional solutions on an urban and architectural scale, as well as the qualities of the proposed architectural forms and construction-material solutions,
- therelationship of new architectural forms to the existing development of the study area,
- economic from the point of view of implementation and long-term operation of objects, structures and maintenance of land development elements.

prizes and competition calendar
The contest provides for the awarding of three main prizes and three honorable mentions: 1st prize in the amount of PLN 15,000 and an invitation to participate in the public procurement procedure in the form of a sole-source contract, 2nd prize in the amount of PLN 9,000, 3rd prize in the amount of PLN 5,000 and three honorable mentions in the amount of PLN 2,000 each.
