The "Friends of the National Museum in Warsaw" Association is organizing the "Thirsty for Beauty" charity dinner for the third time . Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Warsaw museum. It has become a rule that the auctioned works break the traditional division between pure and applied art. This time the famous mirrors by Oskar Zięta, which have undergone artistic interventions, will go under the hammer. Their authors are Karolina Bielawska, Krzysztof Gil, Marcin Janusz, Boris Kudlička, Angelika Markul, Paulina Stasik, Malgorzata Szymankiewicz, Martyna Ścibior and Mariusz Tarkawian.

- Thirsty for beauty are everywhere. And enthusiasts, too. And this year's Friends of the National Museum charity auction is a celebration of these enthusiasts, so inspired by the figure of Ignacy Korwin-Milewski - we want to go with you to the other side of the mirror of time and think together about the shape of what we will leave behind for posterity? Will our collections remain private, or will we begin to co-create national heritage resources together? Will we let our passion die with us, or will we let it last - so that it serves others in the future? Will we, too, like Korwin-Milewski, be remembered by someone someday as passionate enthusiasts thirsting for beauty? What kind of self-portrait do we want to leave behind? We believe that looking into the panes of the prepared works, you will discover not only your own self-portrait, but also the self-portrait of our times," says Małgorzata Wandzel, Vice President of the Association of Friends of the MNW
