The Warsaw-based 81.WAW.PL studio has reached for special awards in the architecture industry this year - in April Anna Paszkowska-Grudziąż, the office's co-founder, received the Europe 40 Under 40® award for young, talented European architects, and a few days ago the design duo was the only one from Poland to win an award in the 15th International Architecture Awards. Congratulations!

The International Architecture Awards competition has been organized by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture, Art Design and Urban Studies since 2004. The international award is a way to honor the best new buildings and urban designs created around the world. This year, more than 400 projects were submitted to the competition, from which the jury selected more than 125 new concepts from 38 countries. The full list of winners can be found here.

The Warsaw-based 81.WAW.PL studio was awarded for its design of Dom Pol ny - a single-family building integrated into the surrounding nature. The house is located in the center of a picturesque field, and its front part, clad with field stones, blends the building into the surroundings. You can read more about the project here.
