The next meeting (this time online) of the Architecture of Climate Crisis series titled "Eco-Active Urban Space" will be held this Tuesday, September 22 . The meeting is organized by the Sustainable Architecture Circle of OW SARP, Architects for the Climate and Zodiak Warsaw Architecture Pavilion.
Planned presentations and discussion will be devoted to the formation of urban public spaces, the continuity of resilient ecosystems resistant to the threats of climate change. Tuesday's meeting will also address design, environmental and social considerations, as well as issues of creating green and blue infrastructure. It will also be an opportunity to look at projects and implementations that support ecosystem services, biodiversity and pro-environmental water management.
The meeting will be attended by graduates of the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology, winners of the competition "Eco-active development of the square named after Bohdan Lachert. Bohdan Lachert Square in Warsaw", Agnieszka Czachowska - an architect working in the Sendzimir Foundation specializing in the promotion of sustainable development, participation, greenery management, implementation of blue-green infrastructure solutions and adaptation to climate change, landscape architect Wojciech Walczak, an expert in the design andimplementation of natural bathing ponds, natural water purification, and mineral and shale (hydrobotanical) treatment plants, and architect Piotr Hardecki, university teacher, owner of the architectural studio Piotr Hardecki Architekt and co-owner and chief designer at PALK Architects, co-author, among other projects, of the Geoeducation Center in Kielce and the park by the Balaton in Warsaw.
