BEEAH Headquarters,
design: Zaha Hadid Architects
The Zaha Hadid Architects studio has designed a headquarters for BEEAH Group, located in the city of Sharjah, in the desert areas of the United Arab Emirates. The building's form is inspired by the natural landscape, where local winds have shaped the characteristic sand ridges and hills. The building was designed to maximize the use of natural resources, with photovoltaic panels as its main energy source. In addition, the building's state-of-the-art technologies meet LEED Platinum certification requirements, achieving zero emissions.

sustainable building philosophy
In designing BEEAH's new headquarters, the architects chose to incorporate the company's core philosophy of sustainability and digitization strategy. BEEAH operates in six key sectors: waste management and recycling, clean energy, environmental protection, consulting, education and green transportation. The building's use of modern technology aims to create a model that can serve as a benchmark for future cities.

Nature-inspired design:
desert dunes as a model
The shape of the building is inspired by the form of the dunes. The structure consists of interconnected, rounded blocks that form a spindly form. Such a solution allows the building to be optimally adapted to local climatic conditions, promoting natural air circulation and efficient use of daylight.

attention to natural light and ventilation
Inside the building there are two main wings. One houses common, public and boardroom spaces, while the other is dedicated entirely to BEEAH's administrative needs. The two parts are connected by a central courtyard that promotes natural ventilation, creating a space that resembles an "oasis," as the studio called it. The whole is complemented by a 15-meter-high dome, which not only serves as an architectural element, but also allows access to natural light through built-in windows.

sustainable design in practice
Designed on a 9,000-square-meter site, the building implements sustainable design principles, using local materials and modern technologies to meet LEED Platinum standards with zero emissions and minimal energy consumption.

Photovoltaic panels and modern materials
in the service of energy efficiency
Fiberglass-reinforced concrete panels reduce excessive sunlight inside the building, while the use of panels and glass helps regulate temperature. As a result, the building's interiors maintain stable thermal conditions. The facility is equipped with a wastewater filtration system, and electricity comes from a photovoltaic farm, powering Tesla batteries that cover the building's energy needs.

smart space: cutting-edge technologies
in daily operations
BEEAH Headquarters has been designed to enhance convenience and utilize modern technology. Touchless communication paths, a virtual concierge and smart meeting rooms streamline daily operations. A companion app automates routine tasks to improve efficiency. A building management system adjusts lighting and temperature depending on the number of people and time of day. Spaces have been equipped with tools to support remote and hybrid working, enabling effective collaboration.

BEEAH's new headquarters as a center for innovation
and sustainability
BEEAH Group's new headquarters is an important part of realizing their vision of innovative solutions for sustainability in the United Arab Emirates. The building serves as an operations center that supports the group's growth in key industries for the future. The project demonstrates how modern technology can support green initiatives and set the standard for smart, sustainable cities of the future.
