The 17th edition of OKK! design, a series of meetings dedicated to architects and designers, was held in Warsaw on March 9. The keynote of the event was communication, and the special guest was Professor Jerzy Bralczyk.
Professor Bralczyk devoted his speech at the 17th edition of the event to the issues of communication and understanding. Explaining the meaning of both terms, the linguist convinced the participants of the meeting to try more to communicate than to communicate on a daily basis.

Participants in the discussion admitted that it is the agreement between the architect and the investor that is essential for the success of the design process.
Clients come to us with a lot of different inspirations found on the Internet or in the press," said Ida Mikolajska. I often ask the investor if the photos he shows me represent interiors he likes, or ones he would like to live in. It turns out that it is not at all that obvious, and that is why in the first stage of cooperation I try to help clients see the difference and understand their expectations.
The next panel discussion was devoted to communication in public spaces. Moderated by Dominika Olszyna, the conversation featured Dominika Zielińska, Head of Architecture at Workplace, Magdalena Federowicz-Boule, CEO of Tremend design studio, Cezary Kowalczyk of Grohe, and Mateusz Gaczkowski, CEO of Acustio brand.

Participants in the discussion acknowledged that despite the positive changes taking place in the public space in Poland, there is still much to be done. The panelists paid particular attention to environmentally friendly solutions and adapting public space to the needs of the disabled. They also considered the role of the architect as an educator and what options are available to convince the developer of good solutions.
The last of the discussion panels of the 17th edition of OKK! design was devoted to the changes taking place in electronic media. Katarzyna Księżopolska, editor-in-chief of MAGAZIF, Agnieszka Gruszczyńska-Hyc, editor-in-chief of M jak mieszkanie, and Zuzanna Dominów - Relationship Manager, Homebook, discussed what to do to "click and read." The participants in the discussion stressed the need to diversify the tools for reaching readers and the need to find the most effective way to communicate with the audience.
According to Anna Gruzewska, editor-in-chief of "Czas na Wnętrze," although magazines cannot compete with the Internet in terms of the speed of information provided, they win with credibility and reliability, and most importantly because they enjoy the trust of readers.
